Our consulting work spans Latin America, MENA, Africa, Central Asia and Southeast Asia, but our equipment representation practice is dedicated exclusively to Latin America. We act as the regional arm of international technology manufacturers: we hold their representation and agency mandates, open the market for them and carry each technology to the plants and projects that need it.

The portfolio covers complementary technology lines: industrial and process water treatment, anaerobic solutions and biogas; LNG, CNG and virtual pipelines; cogeneration, heat recovery and gas-to-power; and waste sorting, recycling and waste-to-energy. Rafael V. Monroy

Chief Executive Officer, Co-founder

Rafael leads Global Vantage Point with nearly two decades in clean energy and industrial decarbonization, spanning clean hydrogen and derivatives, methane abatement, biomethane, waste-to-energy, carbon finance and natural gas. He has originated and structured landmark transactions across Latin America, MENA, Africa, Central Asia and Southeast Asia, and has worked hand in hand with the major development banks, including the ADB, AfDB, EBRD and World Bank.

Before founding Global Vantage Point, Rafael was a Senior Manager at Tetra Tech and, earlier, founder of MBE CleanTech, where he spent eleven years originating clean molecule and gas projects from concept to close. He holds a degree in Chemical Engineering and is completing an MSc in Engineering Business Management at the University of Bath. He works in English, Spanish and French.

Chief Operating Officer, Co-founder

Alejandro brings twelve years as a project developer and technology representative, closing the gap between proven clean energy technology and the projects that need it. His career spans distributed solar and clean molecule development, giving him a rare command of both the engineering and the commercial mechanics of getting projects built.

He previously worked alongside Rafael at MBE CleanTech and held roles at SolarCity, where he helped scale solar deployment, and across a range of developer and OEM representation mandates. As COO, Alejandro runs delivery and leads the firm's equipment representation practice across Latin American markets.

Brownfield reuse led on cost. One project showed its math.

Montana Renewables guides that $137 million of remaining capital will take it from 60 to 200 million gallons a year on equipment leased from the asphalt refinery next door. It is the only project in the window that disclosed enough to compute a cost per gallon. Kazakhstan licensed a greenfield plant, a refinery ordered a plastics pyrolysis line, and Singapore fixed the dates of the levy that will fund its first procurement.
